Counting my many blessings.

Today as I sit here praying for my friend April and her Husband Stephen, it is peaceful talking with Him and being in His presence. 

Today is a good day. I woke up and today I get to go see my Sister Rose in the hospital.

Hopefully she will be transferred to a nursing home today and will be closer to home and one step closer to coming home. 

I also get to pick up my Durango from JD ByRyder. 

A new challenge for my sweet Angel ~ Scotty

The past few months have been a trial for Scotty as well as the rest of us in our family.  

You see... Scotty has developed Grand Mal seizures out of the blue. When we were finally able to get him to the Neurologist she put him on Keppra for his seizures. We had so many Insurance issues getting the meds and when we finally got it Scotty wouldn't take it. I was able to leave a message for the neurologist to ask if they could put him on Depakote sprinkles and they called me and said they were faxing it in right then and there. Well... it took a week and a half for us to get that one as well and I finally ended up paying for it because Insurance wasn't cooperating. Scotty is now on Depakote and so far so good. 
The seizures are heart wrenching for me. I hold him close and tell him I'm right there and cry like a baby.  

How many more challenges will this sweet innocent soul have to endure? Scotty is a smart bright little boy. He is so much fun to watch on the computer at school. You see... they have a touch screen computer that he's very efficient at and knows how to run very well.    

UNCONDITIONAL Love....

This morning I awoke to my ((13)) year old daughter Andrea at the foot of my bed fidgeting with something. When I asked her what she was doing, she said she was looking for her shoe. Something told me to follow her and when I did I saw her put something down into her boot. She had stolen a cigarette... (not from me) EWE!!! 
When I confronted her she said they were for her friend Nikki.. yeah right- she must think I was born yesterday. 

Halloween 2010

Halloween this year wasn't exactly a "family holiday". My 16 year old Nicole

decided she was too old to hang out with family and hung out with her "friends" at the Mall.
Andrea~ who had spent the weekend with her friend decided to do the Haunted house instead of trick or treating with the Boys, Alyssa & I.

Today was a very difficult day... I had an appointment for Scotty with the Pediatrician which was supposed to originally be for Aidan. :( 

Dr. Owen is an awesome doctor and is getting Scotty set up with Physical Therapy and Pediasure. She is also gonna get him set up with a neurologist in Savannah along with a few other doctors.
